I grew up in the big city of San Jose, California. Being a melting pot of so many cultures, San Jose exposed me to the wonders the world has to offer. I met so many types of people of all different ethnicities and lifestyles, all while still embracing my Indian culture. Because I grew up in such a large metropolitan area, my childhood was filled with all types of adventure that led me to all parts of California. Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, Death Valley, Disneyland, and Yosemite – if anyone’s ever been to CA, they would know anything they want to experience is possible there. I grew up close to my immediate and extended family, as we always enjoyed our Indian events and American holidays together. Even after moving to Georgia when I turned 10, I fondly reminisce on everything that I’ve done in my life as a child. It has let me become wide open to celebrate the diversity of culture from all types of people and to embrace the beauty nature has to offer.
